Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

I hope everyone is enjoying their Thanksgiving time. Gobble til you wobble! Lol.

What is your favorite Thanksgiving dish?

For me… yeah, pretty much everything. The dressing, yams, green bean casserole yes! See I can’t pick just one. This year the hubby and I were in charge of ham, green bean casserole, bread and a dessert. For the bread we just bought some little dinner yeast rolls out of the frozen section. Nothing too fancy lol.

The Green Bean Casserole was as Follows:

3 regular size cans of fresh French style green beans

1 large can of cream of mushroom soup

Worcestershire (to taste, usually a few splashes)

Milk (just a tad)

Fresh pepper (to taste)

2 large containers of French’s fried onions

My husband mixed it all up in a large bowl (using only 1/2 of the onions), poured it into a baking dish and placed it in the oven on 350 for about 30-45 minutes. Then you take it out, put the rest of the onions on top and put it in for another 5-10 minutes.
After that, it’s ready to serve up and eat. Yum!

I didn’t think about doing this blog until after Thanksgiving so I didn’t get to take a picture since the green bean casserole was gone! Lol.

Magic Cookie Bars:

This year we all wanted a something with some chocolate in it to hit the sweet spot after Thanksgiving lunch. After much debate we landed on Magic Cookie Bars.

1 1/2 cups of crushed graham crackers

1 stick of butter (melted)

2 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 1/3 cups flaked coconut

1 cup chopped pecans

1 ounce can of sweetened condensed milk

Crush the graham crackers in a large zip lock bag until fine. Melt your butter, then mix the two. Take your mixture and press it firmly into a 9×13 baking dish. Then take your remaining ingredients and evenly spread them in the baking dish. Lastly, pour the sweetened condensed milk on top. Bake in the oven on 350 for about 25 minutes until they are a light brown color on top. Let them cool a little and enjoy! (Honestly, they are best if they are slightly warm.)

Make sure you fuel up good on this wonderful Thanksgiving so you have lots of energy for all of that Black Friday shopping! : )
